Who can rent a vehicle?

Apex vehicles can be rented by a driver who holds an unendorsed driver’s licence for at least 3 years, as well as a valid account in the renter’s name.

How do I book an Apex rental?

You can secure your booking by calling any of our branches closest to you. Our team will confirm availability, vehicle options, and all the details you need before your rental begins.

 
Can I use a temporary driver’s licence?

A valid temporary driver’s licence may be used, provided you also present the following supporting documents: your ID document, a receipt for the renewal of your driver’s licence, and your old driver’s licence if available.

What is a "waiver"?

A waiver is an agreement between the renter and Apex Vehicle Rental that limits the renter’s liability in the event of loss or damage to the vehicle. Waivers are not insurance. Where the renter is found to have been negligent, they will be held liable for the full amount of damage or loss.

 
When is the vehicle inspected?

The vehicle is inspected just prior to check-out and again on return. Customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle thoroughly at check-out and raise any concerns with our agent before departing.

 
What payment methods can I use?

Customers must have a valid account or a voucher from a registered travel agent. Please contact your nearest branch for specific account requirements and any additional payment queries.

 
What do I do if I am involved in an accident?

In the unfortunate event of an accident: report it to Apex Vehicle Rental as soon as possible and to your nearest police station within 48 hours. If the vehicle requires towing, contact Apex before arranging towing to ensure an authorised towing company is used. Note the details of any third parties involved and take photographs where possible to assist with the incident report.
